Walking

Roosdaal is perfectly signposted thanks to the Pajottenland walking junction network, which literally passes by De Woestijn. You start your walk right at junction 814, close to the B&B and holiday homes.

Passing through charming villages, sunken lanes and wild yeasts, you walk through the land of lambic beer and Bruegel. You can explore the Pajottenland via the junction network or choose a themed walking loop in the Zenne Valley or the Dender region in Flemish Brabant.

At De Woestijn, you’ll also find the official Pajottenland walking map, offering over 620 kilometres of walking pleasure. All routes and junctions are clearly marked, allowing you to plan your own walk and distance. The network consists of quiet, slow roads—about 40% unpaved—spread across Bever, Galmaarden, Gooik, Halle, Herne, Lennik, Pepingen, Roosdaal and Sint-Pieters-Leeuw. Most loops are 3 to 5 km long, ideal for walking at your own pace.
